" . . . we are to grow up in all aspects into Him, who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by that which every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love." - Ephesians 4:15-16

In the above quoted passage of scripture, we hear Paul admonishing us as the body of Christ to grow up. He further explains how this will be accomplished: by each part supplying what it has so that the body will be whole.

As in the human body, we need every cell functioning properly in order for the body to work right. If just one area is out of order, the whole body is out of sorts. Have you ever had a corn on a little toe, or a pain in the back, or a slight bit of nasal congestion? With just a tiny bit of dysfunction, the entire body suffers. You almost can’t take your mind off that little toe that hurts so much! The stopped up nose keeps you from thinking clearly. That pain in the back makes movement difficult. Every part of the body needs to be in perfect order for us to operate at peak performance.

Partnership is like that. God designed ministry to work just like the human body, in the same way He likens the body of Christ to the human body. Our Father, in His divine wisdom, has created us so that no one can work alone. There are no "Lone Rangers" in the body of Christ. Without the help of one another, we will all fall miserably short of what the Lord has called us to do.

God has called Captives Set Free Ministries to minister in prisons, and to provide a safe home for inmates returning to free society. We spend every opportunity going into prisons, teaching and preaching the good news of Jesus Christ, making disciples of men and women behind bars. When they are released, many have no where to go, no place to return to. Without the opportunity to start a new life, they will end up turning back to their old ways. We believe God wants us as the body of Christ to reach out to them and train them to live the new life.

When you partner with us, you supply what God has given you, we supply what each of us has been given, and the whole picture is complete. Without you, part of the supply is missing, and part of the body aches.

If God has called you to partner with Captives Set Free Ministries, here is what you can expect.

We will enter into covenant with you. In the same way you join to us, we will now be joined to you. You can expect the same boldness to witness to come into your life. You can expect your family to begin to see their need for Christ and be saved. You can expect to reap the rewards of going into the prisons to the least of them. We will covenant with you to pray for you every day, knowing God is adding to your account daily because of your obedience to Him.

There are several ways you can commit to partner with us. The first is with Prayer. Praying for us daily will unlock doors for us to minister, break the s off the lives of those to whom we minister, and open the windows of heaven on our behalf.

The second way you can partner is through Participation. You can come into prison with us. There is a training required to do so, but we need laborers to go into the harvest fields with us. Third, you can Plant seeds in the good soil of our ministry. When you share your finances with us, it is the same as you going with us. Your money represents you – it is the commodity you received in return for your time and work. When you take what represents you and give it to us in the name of the Lord, you are literally sending a portion of yourself with us. You can also help supply us with new or good-as-new clothing for the residents. We will also need good furniture, household goods, and office supplies.
